Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has refuted accusations of internet traffic interruption in the nation, despite rising worries over connection difficulties.
The denial follows allegations on social media platforms citing internet service outages, including hurting surfing speeds and access to online platforms.
In a statement made today, PTCL confirmed that there have been no delays to internet traffic on their network and that all services are operational. The organization emphasized its commitment to providing uninterrupted access to its consumers throughout Pakistan.
According to telecom industry insiders, the SEA-ME-WE-5 undersea cable that connects Singapore to Pakistan and Europe has been broken, causing internet service disruptions in Pakistan. The SEA-ME-WE-5 cable, which has suffered five significant cuts, is projected to need some time for repairs, creating interruptions, especially in internet services from the east, affecting PTCL’s eastward traffic.
Despite the challenges, the statement from PTCL attempts to ease fears among Pakistani internet users, who rely largely on reliable access for business, school, and other online activities.
