In a 5-hour session of the Punjab Government, including CM Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif, president of PLM (N), Maryam Aurangzeb, former information minister, and many other cabinet members, various decisions were taken on the Muree Development Project.
One of them was to establish a glass train from Rawalpindi to Muree. This is a beneficial decision for Pakistani tourism. It was decided in the meeting that foreign experts would be summoned to help design the glass train.
Many important decisions were made during the meeting to replace the modern buildings that are blocking the natural attractive view and to retain the beauty of the city. In addition to that, all the historical buildings in Muree will be preserved and maintained by the Heritage Department. And new buildings will be constructed after getting permits from the provincial government.
