Approval of 26 development projects worth PRs 900 billion has been made by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) during its meeting headed by Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, on Thursday.
Out of 26 projects, nine are recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), whereas 17 projects worth 33 billion have been approved by the CDWP forum.
Among the dignitaries who attended the meeting were Secretary Planning Awais ManzurSumra, Additional Secretary Planning, Members of the Planning Commission JCE (OPS), JCE (EP), respective federal secretaries, and representatives from federal ministers and provincial governments.
Deliberation on energy projects, governance, health, higher education, information technology, agriculture and food security, industries and commerce, and water resources are the main features of its agenda.
