During the ongoing T20 World Cup, contention erupted between the security guards and former cricketer Imran Khan fans.
The fans wearing Imran Khan shirts were obstructed from entering the stadium, leading to a brawl.
One of the fans stated that “it is a cricketer’s picture; why is a cricketer’s picture not allowed in the stadium?” The dilemma lasted for a good while, as the fans failed to understand the objective behind it.
Responding to fans, the security head stated that he was merely following directives and performing his duty. But this statement did not serve the purpose, as the fans carried on expressing their anger.
The particular reason behind such orders is still unclear. It has interestingly dramatized the whole scenario of the T20 World Cup.
Similarly, in previous times, many fans objected to wearing cricket shirts as they symbolized political statements.
